Introducing Rachel Welz – Marketing Coordinator
We are pleased to introduce Rachel Welz as the Marketing Coordinator for Darwin Perennials.
Rachel has been an integral part of the Ball Seed team for a number of years, bringing together her scientific background, creative eye, and deep love of plants to support customers in the horticulture industry.
She most recently served in customer relations for key accounts, where she worked closely with some of Ball Seed’s largest and most dedicated customers. In this role, she delivered the highest level of service, ensuring strong relationships and helping with customer success.
Today, Rachel is part of the Container Solutions team, designing container arrangements that highlight Ball Seed’s best and newest products and helping growers and retailers envision how varieties perform together in real-world garden settings.
With a background in biology and art, she also spent part of her career in sales and marketing for an aquarium company specializing in freshwater planted aquariums. Her commitment to plants and the environment also included an internship with the Conservation Foundation.
When it comes to favorite plants, two stand out:
- Echinacea. They are native to Illinois, and all the colors and shapes that have been bred are so impressive.
- Lavenders because they smell amazing.
Rachel is excited to be part of the Darwin Perennials team, where she looks forward to highlighting both new and existing products in their very best light. With her blend of technical knowledge, creative vision and genuine enthusiasm for plants, Rachel is well positioned to continue our partnerships and help Darwin lead the way in the industry.
