MANTS 2026
Kerri Martin
Perennials Trial Coordinator

At the 2026 Mid-Atlantic Nursery and Trade Show or MANTS, the Darwin Perennials booth showcased a dazzling array of high-quality plant genetics, ranging from perennial classics to exciting new introductions.

Standout selections included the Erysimum Brightside™ series, an excellent option for those seeking a spring blooming plant. The vibrant mix of color throughout the booth was a notable feature as well. Soft pastel pinks and purples from the new Penstemon Mountain Treats™ series contrasted beautifully with the bold red and yellow hues of the floriferous Gaillardia Guapa series.

Thanks to these eye-catching blooms, many attendees stopped by to connect with the Darwin Perennials team, including the new Sales & Marketing Manager, Mike Annes. Drawing on his extensive experience in the horticulture industry, particularly in landscaping, Mike engaged with landscapers, nursery owners, and cut flower farmers to help match them with the most suitable perennials for their growing conditions.

The fascinating textures and colors of the Heuchera Carnival series also caught the attention of students from the Seed Your Future Program, who visited the booth to learn more about horticulture. As they explored, many were drawn to both the colorful new introductions and beloved classics such as Phlox Spring Splash™ Lilac.

Overall, this year’s show saw a wonderful turnout. Our team enjoyed the opportunity to showcase and educate customers on new products, while also hearing exciting ideas and insights from visitors. Although I can only compare this experience to my first show last year, this year’s event stood out as especially welcoming. I had many meaningful conversations with a diverse mix of horticulture industry professionals.
