With over 200 employees participating in a recent survey conducted by the international firm Great Places to Work®, Darwin Colombia is proud to be one of only two companies in the Colombia flower industry to receive this prestigious recondition. The survey was led by General Manager Cristina Brusco and Osman Malpica, Manager in Human Resources, to give the employees an opportunity to identify company strengths, accomplishments and areas for improvement.

Darwin Colombia team members are proud to be part of a company that values teamwork, respect, family and health. Strides have been taken to make the greenhouse working conditions more comfortable for the employees, such as raising the harvesting benches and keeping the greenhouse temperatures at moderate levels to provide a more comfortable working environment.

As we all know, COVID-19 has brought about many changes in how people go about their daily tasks in all types of working conditions. To support the health of its employees, Darwin Colombia has consistently promoted continued education, strict sanitary requirements, social distancing and enforced preventative isolation to keep the positive cases to a minimum and keep the business operating. This strong support of employee health shows the team members they are valued, which also contributed to the certification.

Darwin Colombia continues to collaborate with the Great Place to Work® team to identify opportunities for improvement based on the feedback from employees.
