The University of Georgia hosts an Open House event each year for hort industry professionals and the general public. This year, the event took place June 5 and trial garden manager Brandon Coker told GPN magazine that “this is the best garden in years in terms of color and overall vigor.”

Guests of the Open House were given 10 voting flags each to pick the 10 plants they liked best. This year our very own Echinacea Sombrero® Tres Amigos was a clear winner! Even with 15+ days in May reaching 90°F with very hot and dry conditions, Sombrero Tres Amigos was bright and vibrant.

A few weeks later, as the UGA Trial Gardens evaluated their “Plants of Distinction,” its sister introduction Sombrero Summer Solstice was recognized as a “stunner.”
