Darwin Perennials was pleased to showcase 15 of our 22 season-2018 introductions at the annual Lowe's Season Premier event at Costa Color in Miami, Florida, last week. Among the highlights were Salvia Rose Marvel, Iberis Snowsation and Armeria Dreameria™ Sweet Dreams. All were in full glory in beds and containers.

Growers commented about the strikingly rich deep rose color and exceptionally large flowers found on Salvia Rose Marvel. They were also impressed with the uniformity and strong, non-yellowing foliage of Iberis Snowsation. It was interesting to hear the comparisons growers made between the beautiful Armeria Dreameria Sweet Dreams and some of the more dwarf Alliums in the market, and were pleased to learn that Sweet Dreams will flower from frost to frost, unlike the short flowering window of Allium.

This event is the kick-off of the new products season for the year and Darwin Perennials’ 2018 introductions were front and center. Look for more opportunities to see what's new at trial locations and California Spring Trials at our stop in Santa Paula, California, April 1-5.
