Darwin Perennials ‘Medals’ At Plantarium
At this week’s Plantarium show in The Netherlands, several Darwin Perennials varieties took home coveted Novelty (new plant) awards:
Gold Medal
Salvia Blue Marvel – one of only 5 awarded
Silver Medal
Digitalis Foxlight
Bronze Medal
Monarda Balmy Purple
This is the second major award for Salvia Blue Marvel. The plants are judged by the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society. As exhibitors of the show, Florensis had an excellent display of Balmy Monarda, Carnival Heuchera and a feature of Foxlight Ruby Glow. For the full list of award winners click here.
Plantarium is the premier perennial and shrub trade show in The Netherlands held every August. It features over 300 international exhibitors, with visitors from 48 countries. It’s an important platform for all channels involved in the perennial market.
