The threat of severe weather didn’t stop our guests at this year's Darwin Perennials Day on Wednesday, June 22. The event was well received by attendees, and kicked off a season of guests who will flock to our Gardens at Ball over the next few months to see the latest plant introductions.

Always billed as “rain or shine,” Darwin Perennials Day had plenty of both this year. But still hundreds of perennial customers, suppliers and experts took the weather forecast with a grain of salt and arrived in West Chicago for a chance to see the newest plants, network with industry friends, and get the scoop on the hottest perennial topics.

Though the skies opened up a few times, it didn’t dampen spirits. The event included over 30 supplier tents and displays, Ball Premier Lab tours, photo ops in the zone 5 trial garden, two excellent speakers, a tasty luncheon, and so much more.

Want to re-live the day? Check out our slideshow here for a look back at all the fun.

We hope to see you in the gardens next year!
